Rhonda Garrison, an English and Yearbook teacher at Altus High School, was named the Altus Public Schools Teacher of the Year at Monday night’s regular meeting of the Altus School Board.

Other teachers nominated who were named Teacher of the Year for their school sites were DeeDee Stafford from Altus Intermediate School, Shellie Howard from Altus Junior High School, Lauren Westervelt from Altus Early Childhood Center, Cindy Rabalais from Altus Primary School, Ronna Cross from Altus Elementary School, and Candy Morgan from Rivers Elementary School.
