Week 2 Cross Country results

Abel Villa (4th junior high boys), Braylee Brooks (2nd varsity girls), Ryder Robison (2nd varsity boys) and Kyler Robison (3rd junior high boys) at the Caprock Canyon Cross Country Meet on Tuesday September 7.

Memphis

The Cyclones and Lady Cyclones competed on Saturday, September 4 at the Jeep Webb Memorial Invitational in Borger, with Ryder Robinson finishing 18th in the varsity boys division. In a quick turnaround, they ran again on Tuesday, September 7 at Caprock Canyons. Robinson had another big meet, finishing 2nd and varsity girls runner Baylee Brooks brought in a 2nd place finish as well. In the junior high boys race, Kyler Robinson placed 3rd and Abel Villa finished 4th.

Memphis’s next meet is the Rattlesnake Run on Tuesday, September 14 in Guymon, Oklahoma.

Silverton

The Owls and Lady Owls ran their first meet of the season Saturday, September 4 at the Jeep Webb Memorial Invitational in Borger. Head Coach Kevin Hurn says his athletes stood tall against the competition from much larger schools and he’s excited to keep building from this good start to the season.

Melody Rampley, Alex Acevedo and Haygen Lopez each medaled at the meet. The Owls and Lady Owls have their next meet on Saturday, September 11 at Wellington.

Valley

The Patriots and Lady Patriots ran on Tuesday, September 7 at Caprock Canyons State Park. The conditions for the meet were hot and tough but the runners ran impressive races with the varsity boys team finishing first and the varsity girls finishing second.
