Week 9 high school volleyball scores

Childress

The Lady Cats started district play on October 5 on the road at Shallowater, getting swept in straight sets (13-25, 21-25, 11-25). Unfortunately, the Lady Cats would see similar results when they played Idalou at home on October 9, falling in 3 sets (24-26, 17-25, 14-25). Childress will continue district play on Tuesday, October 12 at Tulia at 5:00 p.m.

Quanah

The Lady Indians made quick work of their competition this week, picking up a win by forfeit against Paducah on October 5 and sweeping Crowell in straight sets on October 9 (25-5, 25-12, 25-5). Quanah will be on the road to start the week as they travel to Knox City to play on Tuesday, October 12 at 4:00 p.m.

Vernon

The Lady Lions picked up a dominant win against Hirschi on October 5 (25-7, 25-14, 25-8). Audrey Hodges had a solid all around performances with 3 aces, 4 digs and 7 assists. Carli White contributed 7 kills and 6 digs while Ashlee Villarreal added 7 more digs and 2 aces. They then faced Graham on the road on October 8, losing in straight sets (13-25, 15-25, 19-25). Vernon will play Hirschi again on the road on Tuesday, October 12 at 4:30 p.m.

Memphis

The Lady Cyclones had a tough week of district road games. They faced Sanford-Fritch on October 5, falling in 3 sets (13-25, 9-25, 8-25) and then were swept by West Texas High on October 9 (11-25, 13-25, 12-25). Memphis will be back at home on Tuesday, October 12 vs Vega at 5:00 p.m.

Paducah

The Lady Dragons had a tough week, forfeiting to Quanah on October 5 and then being swept by Benjamin on October 9 (10-25, 9-25, 14-25). Paducah looks to get back on track Tuesday, October 12 at Chillicothe at 5:00 p.m.

Chillicothe

The Lady Eagles traveled to Northside on October 9 and were swept in straight sets by the Lady Indians who were looking to bounce back from their first district loss (19-25, 15-25, 21-25). Chillicothe will face Paducah at home on Tuesday, October 12 at 5:00 p.m.

Crowell

The Lady Cats started the week on Tuesday with a hard fought match at home against Knox City but unfortunately fell after 5 sets (17-25, 25-21, 25-21, 18-25, 7-15). They then hosted Quanah on Saturday and we met with tough competition, getting swept in 3 sets (5-25, 12-25, 5-25). Crowell will travel to Benjamin to play on Tuesday, October 12 at 6:00 p.m.

Vernon Northside

The Lady Indians suffered their first district loss on October 5 at Benjamin, being swept in three sets by a determined Lady Mustangs team (19-25, 22-25, 22-25). They quickly turned it around on October 9, picking up a 3 set win against Chillicothe (25-19, 25-15, 25-21). Northside will continue play Tuesday, October 12 at Munday at 4:00 p.m.

Altus

The Lady Bulldogs finished the regular season last week with a 0-3 loss to Elgin on October 5 and a 0-3 loss to Duncan on Thursday, October 7. Altus played in the regional tournament on Monday, October 11 at Lawton MacArthur. Their season ended as they played the top ranked MacArthur and were swept in straight sets (12-25, 7-25, 8-25).
