There will be a special election on Tuesday, Nov. 8 to fill the vacated Altus City Council position of Ward 4. Qualified candidates may file to run at the Jackson County Election Board office, 311 W.Cypress, through Wednesday, Aug. 31 from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Information and candidate filing packages can be picked up at the Altus City Clerk’s Office in the Altus Municipal Complex, 509 S.Main.
