At the regular monthly meeting of the Jackson County Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees this week, Steve Hartgraves reported that the outreach clinics contributed a total of 198 admissions and 316 outpatient surgeries and observations to JCMH for the month of August. The board also approved revisions made to the JCMH Constitution and Bylaws as presented by Hartgraves.
The board then appointed Bryce Sellers to serve as a board member on the Jackson County Health Care Corporation.
Dr. John Tran, Chief-of-Staff, reported from the JCMH Medical Staff Executive Committee meeting that was held on Sept. 12. The Board approved the recommendations for initial appointment, reappointment and additional privileges. They also approved revisions to the CRNA form and revisions to the Medical Staff Rules & Regulations.
Barbara Brooks presented the JCMH financials for the month of August which resulted in a net loss of $502,012.

COVID Update – Mrs. Simmons reported that JCMH continues to follow the CDC guidelines and has now moved away from masking in non-patient care areas.
The opening of JMCH’s new urology clinic is scheduled for mid-October. Construction of the new clinic space will be complete soon. It will be located on the first floor of the JCMH Medical Clinic.
35% of the JCMH organizational goals for fiscal year 2023 are being met or exceeded.
