The Duncan Demons varsity football team hosted a conference game vs. the Altus Bulldogs Thursday, Oct. 13. Duncan won the game 56-0.

The Demons started the game by making an 89-yard scoring drive in just five plays. With the extra point, the score was Duncan 7, Altus 0. The Demons made two more touchdowns in the 1st quarter, each time getting the extra point for a score at the end of quarter Duncan on top 0-21.

The 2nd quarter saw the Duncan quarterback make a 21-yard run, and with 8:43 left int he quarter, Altus was looking for a stop, but Duncan got another touchdown taking the score to Duncan 28, Altus 0. Before half time, Duncan made an 18-yard touchdown run, and with the extra point, Duncan was leading 0-35.

The Bulldogs were set to receive at the start of the 3rd quarter, Kelly Bates made a one-handed turn over for the Bulldogs, but the Demons got the ball back, and with 4:39 left in the quarter, the Demons made a 21-yard touchdown. The Demons made another touchdown before the end of the 3rd, and the extra points, the score was now Duncan 49, Altus 0.

The Altus Bulldogs were never able to get points on the board, and with the Duncan Demons making their final touchdown in the last quarter, the score ended at Duncan 56, Altus 0.

Next week the Altus Bulldogs take on Noble Bears at home on Friday, Oct. 21 with kickoff at 7 PM.
