The Directors’ Choice Community Chorus is a free concert event scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 23 at 3 PM in the Herschal H. Crow Fine Arts Center Auditorium at Western Oklahoma State College.

The 60-voice community chorus has prepared an outstanding choral concert of traditional choral music under the direction of five area choral directors. Each director chose two selections and rehearsed the chorus bringing their own individual expertise in conducting and interpretation of the music.

Directors for the event are Nancy Cox, Larry Duffy, Brent Logan, Donna Tucker, and Nick Young. Ken Cox, the honoree, will close the concert by leading the chorus in one of his favorite choral selections.

Clark Huey is serving as the piano accompanist for the concert which is designed to honor the long-time career of Ken Cox for his dedication and commitment to choral music in Altus and National Music Organizations.
