The Board of Trustees met in regular session on Monday, Oct. 24 in the conference room at JCMH Home Care/Hospice.
The board approved minutes from the September 26, 2022 Board of Trustees meeting.
Shelley Simmons reported from the clinics. A total of 154 admissions and 316 outpatient procedures and observations were contributed to the hospital in the month of September.
Fixed Assets from Funded Depreciation and Designated Funds to Funded Depreciation for HMH were approved in the amount of $6,034.
Simmons then presented annual ACO compliance training material to the board members and executives.
Barbara Brooks presented the results of the Forvis Provider Relief Fund Single Audit. JCMH was found to be in compliance with properly designated funds and the audit was approved by the board.
Simmons then presented the new Quality Dashboard Report for Performance Improvement, and the Life Share Donor Reports for the first half of 2022.
The board approved the revised Restraints Policy that included changes in verbiage and definitions as presented by Simmons.
Richard Pope presented the quarterly safety report including the number of fire drills conducted, fire system inspections, new employee orientation and work related injuries.
The board approved the revised Risk Management Plan as presented by Casey Miranda. The only revision in the policy was of one company’s name change.
The board approved credentials for initial appointment and reappointment as presented by Dr. John Tran, Chief-of-Staff.
Brooks then reported on the JCMH financials for the month of September which resulted in a net loss of $(473,469). She then reported the HMH financials for the month of September which resulted in a net income of $70,456.

The Public Health Emergency has been extended an additional 90 days.
This will allow Harmon Memorial Hospital an extension of the Critical Access Hospital status.
Steve Hartgraves requested a member of the board attend Performance Improvement meetings.
The board approved the JCMH Strategic Plan 2022-2025 as presented by Hartgraves.
