Help NBC Oklahoma decorate their holiday trees in Altus with new mittens, scarves, hats and blankets to benefit children in Altus and at AAFB as part of their annual Mitten Tree project. Drop off items now through Nov. 30 at their two Altus locations, 123 W. Commerce in downtown Altus and on Altus Air Force Base, 1st and E, Building 24.
The Mitten Tree started more than 30 years ago when the bank hosted a party for Altus Air Force Base personnel and its leadership and guests brought mittens, scarves and blankets to decorate the tree.
All items will be donated to local community youth groups.
