Absentee mail and early voting numbers released for Jackson County voting
Polls closed at 7 PM for voting for the General Election and local ballot items. In Altus a race for the unexpired City Councilmember Ward 4 position was up for election. There were a total of 32 absentee votes and 191 early votes cast for the position. With the total for the absentee and early voting, CJ Morris has 13 votes, William Mickley has 21, Christina Wallace has 13, Matthew Medlock has 35, Brodie Butchee has 107, Randy L. Kay II has 13, Melissa Tuttle has 16, and Crystal M. Wilson has 5.
With all five precincts reporting, Brodie Butchee was voted the new Altus City Councilmember with 616 votes.
For Jackson County Commissioner District No. 3, Incumbent Rhet Johnson had 207 total absentee and early voting ballots cast vs Alex White with 51. With all six precincts reporting, Johnson won 1,504 votes to White’s 314.
In the Oklahoma Governor’s race, Jackson County absentee and early voting ballots show incumbent Kevin Stitt with 584 votes, Joy Hofmeister with 278, Ervin Stone Yen with 14, and Natalie Bruno with 9. With all 15 of 15 precincts reporting in, Kevin Stitt had 3,856 votes with Jackson County voters to Joy Hofmeister’s 1,449.
For Lieutenant Governor, Jackson County absentee and early voting totaled 668 votes for Matt Pinnell, 181 for Melinda L. Alizadeh-Fard, and 28 for Chris Powell. With all Jackson County precincts in, Pinnell had 4,336 votes to Alizadeh-Fard’s 942.
For Superintendent of Public Instruction, Jackson County early voting and absentee ballots show 565 votes for Ryan Walters and 307 votes for Jena Nelson. With 15 of the 15 precincts in, Jackson County votes for Ryan Walters were 3,734 and 1,721 for Jena Nelson.
For United States Senator, Jackson County early voters and absentee ballots show 671 votes for James Lankford, 184 votes for Madison Horn, 16 votes for Kenneth D. Blevins, and 12 votes for Michael L. Delaney. Jackson County voters, with all precincts reporting, Jackson County cast 4,371 votes for Lankford and 911 for Horn.
For United States Senator, Jackson County absentee ballots and early voters show Markwayne Mullin with 652 votes, Kendra Horn with 204, and Robert Murphy and Ray Woods with 14 votes each. With 15 of 15 precincts in, Jackson County voters cast 4,261 votes for Mullin and 1,043 for Horn.
The Town of Headrick Proposition passed with 28 votes to 3. A total of 31 votes were cast.
In Tillman County,for United States Representative District 4, Tom Cole received 1,505 votes to Mary Brannon’s 334. For State Representative District 63 Trey Caldwell received 1,568 votes and Shykira M. Smith received 273.
Tillman County Commissioner District 1 was won by Roger Hoover with 319 votes to Greg Petty’s 288.
