ALTUS (OK) – Regular meetings of the Altus City County and Altus Municipal Authority will be held tomorrow night, Tuesday, Oct. 5 beginning at 6 PM in Council Chambers.
Council agenda items include approving payments for the CDBG Sidewalk Improvements on Park Lane, and adopting a resolution authorizing the application to South Western Oklahoma Development Authority for a Community Expansion of Nutrition Assistance grant.
An ordinance to rezone certain property from Auto-Urban Residential to Suburban Commercial will be considered, as well as discussion and possible action regarding the closure of the Veterans Drive ramp entering Altus Air Force Base, and possibly proceeding with the Altus Sign Project.
A contract for new sports flooring at the City Gyms for a fee of $129,472.50 will be considered, and awarding of a bid to JVN Officials of Duke will be considered.
Council will consider increasing the contract amount b $11,711.93 for the Linda Wiginton Aquatic Center renovation. In executive session, Council will discuss the purchase of real property, and the pending crash pad litigation.
The Altus Municipal Authority meeting will begin immediately following the regular City Council meeting.
The AMA agenda includes setting up a fund for the American Rescue Plan Act grant, authorize the purchase of 3/4 ton Dodge Ram 2500 crew cab pickup truck with 4-wheel drive from John Vance Motors in the amount of $30,741, and accept the work completed by Evans & Associates Utility Services for the Altus City Raw Water Pump Station and Pipeline Improvements.
