Regular meetings of the Altus City County and Altus Municipal Authority will be held tomorrow night, Tuesday, Oct. 5 beginning at 6 PM in Council Chambers.
Council agenda items include consideration of regarding the Altus Christian Academy’s request pertaining to traffic and safety concerns and consideration of approving the funding agreement between the city of Altus and the Oklahoma Development Finance Authority for series 2022 Altus/Altus AFB P3 Flood Mitigation Project in an amount not to exceed $1,650,000.
Consideration to change order #1 increasing the contract amount with Red Sky Constructors, LLC by $2,453 for renovations to the community center and consideration to accept the final inspection of AIP Project 3-40-0002-017-2020 to “Construct T-Hangers” at the Altus/Quartz Mountain Regional Airport and authorize the city manager to sign closeout documents will also be discussed.
Looking ahead, the consideration of approving the 2022 city of Altus Holiday schedule will be presented at the meeting.
The council will also consider changing Order No. 1 to Rick Scott Construction Tulsa, LLC of Tulsa, OK in the amount of $4,407.49 (Bid No. 21025) for additional work restoring concrete steps at the city auditorium, changing Order No. 2 to Rick Scott Construction Tulsa, LLC of Tulsa, OK in the amount of $1,806.42 (Bid No. 21025) for additional work painting window frames at the city auditorium and authorizing the Mayor to sign the change order.
The work by Clayco Industries, Inc of Lawton, OK replacing roofs on the Water Plant Administration Building, Water Plant Chemical Building, Water Plant RO Building, Landfill Building, SE Sewer Plant Building and SW Sewer Plant Building will be considered as well as authorizing the Mayor to sign a letter of acceptance.
Council will also consider action to enter into Executive Session Pursuant To: Title 25 O.S. § 307(B)(4) to engage in “confidential communications between the Altus City Council and the City Attorney concerning the pending matters of the city of Altus, Oklahoma Vs. Altus Gas Wagon Crashpads, LLC, Case No. CV-2021-68. Disclosure will seriously impair the ability of the council to process the claims or conduct a pending investigation, litigation, or proceeding in the public interest .
The Altus Municipal Authority meeting will begin immediately following the regular City Council meeting.
A annual contract renewal with Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, LLC of Kansas City, MO for ongoing engineering services and authorizing the purchase of $100,000.00 of professional services for Fiscal Year 2022 are up for consideration.
The meeting will also discuss the void authorization for the purchase of a 2021 3/4 Ton Dodge RAM 2500 Crew Cab Pickup Truck with 4-Wheel Drive from John Vance Motors for $30,741.00 and authorize the purchase of a 2022 Model F-250 Super Crew with 4-Wheel Drive from Wilmes Ford Superstore for $33,524.00 from State Contract Item No. 1000009355, Category No. 25101507 for the Water Treatment Plant .
The purchase of replacement parts from Philadelphia Mixing Solutions of Palmyra, PA for Aerator No. 2 in an amount not to exceed $201,000 , the purchase of parts and labor from Haynes Equipment Company of Tulsa, OK in an amount not to exceed $96,000 for repair of two mechanical bar screens at the Southeast Wastewater Treatment Plant and the approval of the 2022 Altus Municipal Authority Holiday Schedule will also be considered.
