Altus Police arrested 45 year old Javier Garcia-Garcia Wednesday afternoon on multiple felony charges. Police originally responded to a home in the 700 block of N. Hightower, Sunday morning, Aug. 28.
The homeowner told police he was awakened by a man standing in his bedroom. The victim told police he chased the suspect from the home before notifying police. There were no injuries reported.
The suspect was positively identified during the initial investigation on Sunday. The suspect was seen by patrol officers on Wednesday afternoon and taken into custody in the 1300 block of Oakhurst.
Garcia-Garcia is being held in the Jackson County Jail on charges of First degree Burglary, Possession of a Firearm after a Former Felony Conviction, Felonious Pointing of a Firearm, Larceny of an Auto and Knowingly Concealing Stolen Property.
The District III Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force assisted police in the investigation.
