Northbound traffic on US 287 at Baylor Creek in Childress County (north of the ATV park) will be diverted to the existing southbound lanes around the bridge area by the end of the week.

Crews will be replacing the bridge in this location. Northbound lanes will remain closed while the bridge is demolished and the new bridge is constructed. Work is expected to be complete by June of 2022.

Advisory signs of 60 MPH are in place in the work zone with 50 MPH advisory signs at the diversion.

Drivers are reminded to use caution when approaching the work zone. Reduce speed, obey all posted warnings and reduce distractions in your vehicle.
