Silverton, Matador, Valley, Guthrie and Paducah among area cites and school boards that are now accepting applications for candidates to run in the May 6 elections. The deadline for candidates to file is February 17.
In municipal elections, Silverton will have the Mayor and two council member seats on the ballot; Matador will have three council member seats; and Paducah will have Alderman for Place 1, Alderman for Place 4, and Alderman for Place 5.
In area school district board races, Motley ISD will have three at-large seats on the ballot, Paducah ISD will have two
at-large candidates, Valley ISD will have three at-large seats, Silverton ISD will have two at-large seats and Guthrie CSD
will have two at-large opportunities on the ballot.
