The City of Childress is excited to be undertaking a paving project in the Southwest and wish to notify our
community and apologize for any temporary inconvenience of this project.
Contractors will be in the Southwest from 7th St. to 10th St., Avenues B through F. Road prep and paving
will be taking place from July 16th to July 22nd
. July 17
th it is critical that no one drives along these roads

for several hours after they have been coated (until around 1-2 P.M. at the earliest)
IMPORTANT DATES AND NOTES:
Saturday, July 16th thru July 22nd
– In order to preserve your vehicles from potential damage of asphalt

products please ensure all roads are clear of parked vehicles and equipment.
Sunday, July 17th – In order to preserve your vehicles from potential damage of asphalt products please
avoid driving over tack coat for a minimum of 3 hours.
