FUMC of Quanah holding Operation Christmas Child event; public invited to participate

The First United Methodist Church of Quanah invites you to participate in this year’s Operation Christmas Child event. They invite you to join them in filling shoe boxes with items to gift children this holiday season. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations. Every year since, Samaritan’s Purse has collected shoebox gifts filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items for children around the world.

Items needed include combs, hairbrushes, toothbrushes (no toothpaste allowed), washcloths, adhesive bandages, socks, hats, pencils, markers, pens, erasers, crayons, notebooks, stickers, foam balls, tennis balls, baby dolls, toy cars, bars of soap, and scarves. (No food allowed).

Join the church Sunday, Nov. 13 following church services. For more information, contact Cayton O’Neal at 254-654-0821.
