COVID-19 Community Levels from the Oklahoma State Department of Health this week reports that Jackson County (OK) is in the “medium” risk level. Jackson County is part of District 5 which covers Southwest Oklahoma.
Some counties are in the low/green risk category while others are in the high/orange risk category. Counties in the “high” risk category include Comanche, Cotton, Kiowa and Washita counties. Counties in the “medium” risk category include Beckham, Caddo, Harmon, Jackson and Tillman counties. Counties in the “low” risk category: Greer county.
509 new COVID-19 cases were reported in southwest Oklahoma from August 7 through August 13, according to Oklahoma State Department of Health. For the State of Oklahoma: 8,140 new cases of COVID-19 were reported last week. 20 newly reported COVID-19 deaths were reported last week. Jackson County reported 60 new cases of COVID since the last report.
