The Board of Trustees met in regular session on Monday, November 28 in the conference room at JCMH Home Care/Hospice.
Dr. Rebecca Sager was appointed by the Jackson County Commissioners as the Physician Representative to the JCMH Board of Trustees and sited the Oath of office as the first order of business.
The board approved minutes from the October 24, 2022 Board of Trustees meeting.
Lori Hagen presented the annual compliance and HIPAA training to the board, along with the Oklahoma Medical Treatment Law for annual certification.
Shelley Simmons reported from the clinics. A total of 132 admissions and 281 outpatient procedures and observations were contributed to the hospital in the month of October.
Fixed Assets from Funded Depreciation and Designated Funds to Funded Depreciation for JCMH were approved in the amount of $133,027.82.
Fixed Assets from Funded Depreciation and Designated Funds to Funded Depreciation for HMH were approved in the amount of $23,103.69.
Simmons presented the Complaint and Grievance Summary for the third quarter of 2022.
The board approved credentials for initial appointment and reappointment as presented by Dr. John Tran, Chief-of-Staff.
Kay Stewart reported on Harmon Memorial Hospital.
Barbara Brooks reported on the JCMH financials for the month of October which resulted in a net loss of $(162,177).
Brooks reported the HMH financials for the month of October which resulted in a net income of $129,830.

Mrs. Simmons reported that Covid-19, flu, and RSV numbers are on the rise.
Mr. Hartgraves introduced Mrs. Mary Friese as the new VP of Home Care
Services.
The new Urology clinic is open and doing very well.
HHS renewed the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency for an additional 90 days.
CMS posted final rule which provided clarification regarding primary and secondary road requirements for critical access hospitals.
OHA is working on a plan for REH hospitals to get SHOPP payments without paying in.
JCMH was recently awarded for Excellence in Quality at the OHA Conference. This award represents the highest level of professional
acknowledgement from the OHA Council on Quality & Patient Safety.
OHA Fourth Quarter 2022 Trustee Newsletter is now available for distribution.
CCMH is attempting to reopen the Frederick Hospital with hopes of receiving the CAH designation for that location.
Three of the five organizational goals for fiscal year 2023 are being met or exceeded.
