Jackson County Memorial Hospital, Board of Trustees met for their regular monthly meeting Monday, Aug. 22. At the meeting, Corwin Petzold was appointed to serve as the Secretary/Treasurer to take the place of former Trustee Rana Womack.
Mr. Hartgraves reported that the outreach contributed a total of 165 admissions and 252 outpatient surgeries and observations to JCMH for the month of July.
Fixed Assets from Funded Depreciation and Designated Funds to Funded Depreciation were approved in the amount of $95,466. Shelley Simmons presented the Priority Focus Report for 2021 and the Complaint and Grievance Summary for the second quarter.
The board approved the Patient Rights Policy and the Sentinel Events Policy as presented by Simmons. She also presented the 2021-2022 Nurse Residency Program. Nine RNs completed the project with three projects pertaining to their service areas.
The board approved the conflict of interest statement with noted changes for the JCMH Board of Trustees for the period ending June 30, 2022.
The board approved items proposed by Dr. John Tran, Chief-of-Staff, from the Medical
Staff Executive Committee meeting held on Aug. 8. All credentials were approved by the
board. Revisions to the CRNA Privilege Form and Revision to the Rules and Regulations
were approved by the board.
Barbara Brooks presented the JCMH financials for the month of July, which resulted in a net loss for the month of $612,697.
The management report included the following:
- The US Supreme Court directed CMS to reinstate payment rates for 340B discount pharmacies effective January 1, 2023. Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma is expected to realize significant savings.
- The board of Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma, of which JCMH owns 28.5%, approved a distribution to owners in an amount not to exceed $2 million.
- The JCMH Medical Marijuana & HR Policy was revised and will be effective Aug. 29.
- The 2023 Organizational Goals were presented to the board from the month of July.
