North American Falconers Association coming to Lone Wolf (OK) Nov. 14-20

The North American Falconers Association (NAFA) will host their annual field meet at The Lodge at Quartz Mountain Resort on Nov. 14-20.  FAFA was founded in 1961 and held their first field meet in 1962 in Reno, Nevada. The field meet is hosted in a different state each year and this is the first year it will be hosted in Lone Wolf. This field meet will serve as a 60th anniversary celebration and will allow falconers nationwide to gather together to socialize and meet.

The Chamber of Commerce has opened their doors for the falconers and their families. With the newly renovated resort, there are many activities and entertainment opportunities for the visitors. The falconers have a reputation for being respectful to their hosts and have always been invited back.

The weathering yard at FAFA is a place falconers place their bird to take a bath, look around and enjoy the sun. Only registered NAFA members are able to attend nightly business meetings, but visitors are welcome to come view the many birds at the outside weathering  areas where most of the “meet and greet” will occur. To schedule to go out and hunt with a  falconer, please visit the meet location.
