The Red River Crop Conference will be held at the Jackson County Expo Center, 300 S. Todd Lane in Altus, OK on Jan. 19 & 20. The conference is titled “Planning for Success – Crop production information designed for Southwest Oklahoma and the Texas Rolling Plains.”
The conference is being held by OSU Extension and the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension.
Cotton Day will be Jan. 19, and In Season & Summer Crops Day will be Jan. 20.
Cotton Day topics include a National Cotton Council update, Cotton Market update, Herbicide Program update, Cotton Incorporated Overview, Cotton Insect update and Cotton Area Program updates.
The Jan. 20 lineup includes Grain and Livestock Markets update, Current Wheat Crop status and In-Season Management, Sorghum Pest Control Technologies and Research, Current Weed Control Studies in the Southwest Area and results with the CoAXium Wheat System, Hay Storage and Management for Keeping Quality, and a Farm Bill update and outlook.
