The Childess City Council will hold a public hearing on March 27 at 6 PM in Council Chambers at City Hall giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Childress,Texas of the following described property, to-wit:
A 101.06 acre tract of land out of the South central part of Section 611, Block H, W & NW Ry. Co. Survey, Childress County, Texas, described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1⁄2 inch iron rod found in the North right of way line of F.M. Highway No. 164 which bears N 88° 51’ 23” W. a distance of 1807.50 feet and N 1° 08’ 37” E. a distance of 72.72 feet from a railroad spike set at the Southeast corner of said
Section 611 for the southeast corner of this tract;
THENCE N 89° 35’ 39” W., along said right of way line, a distance of 1656.04 feet to a 3⁄4” iron pipe set at the beginning of a curve to the right for corner of this tract;
THENCE along said curve to the right with a radius equal to 5669.58 feet, a long chord bearing of N 88° 12’ 39” W., and a long chord distance of 273.74 feet, a curve distance of 273.77 feet to a 3⁄4” iron pipe set at the end of said curve for a corner of
this tract;
THENCE N 86° 49’ 39” W., continuing with said right of way line, a distance of 41.20 feet to a 3⁄4” iron pipe set for an ell corner of this tract;
THENCE N. 3° 10’ 21” E., continuing with said right of way line, a distance of 20.00 feet to a 3⁄4” iron pipe set for an ell corner of this tract;
THENCE N. 86° 49’ 39” W., continuing with said right of way line, a distance of 21.88 feet to a 3⁄4” iron pipe set at the southeast corner of a 132.20 acre tract of land for the southwest corner of this tract;
THENCE N. 12° 32’ 18” E. a distance of 2857.13 feet to a 3⁄4” iron pipe set at the Northeast corner of said 132.20 acre tract in the South right of way line of the F. W. & D. C. Railroad for the Northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE S. 66° 32’ 00” E., along said railroad right of way line, a distance of 1543.13 feet to a 1⁄2” iron rod found for the Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S. 1° 08’ 37” W. a distance of 2218.67 feet to the place of BEGINNING and containing 101.06 acres of land.

SECTION 2. The Mayor of the City of Childress, is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a newspaper having general circulation in the city and in the above described territory not more than twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing, in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act.
