Quanah FFA students attend state-wide leadership conferences

Some of the Quanah FFA students had the opportunity to attend state-wide leadership conferences at Midwestern State University this week. They were asked to summarize the conference from their perspective:

I learned how to take the skills I have learned from FFA and insert them into my daily life after I graduate. I also learned what it meant to have “humble confidence”. It means to know who you are as a person and to be confident in that person but to also be humble throughout life. One of the biggest things I learned was that our skills are based on our experiences and we all have a story. I also made some new friends that I absolutely adore! FFA truly is the best organization in the world!

During today’s conference, we learned many things including how vital it is to set SMART goals. We also completed many activities over self image and forming healthy relationships. Our perspectives of ourselves are much different than other’s views of us. Strengthening relationships with others and having confidence in ourselves leads to success in obtaining our goals!

I learned how to set and follow through with my goals! I also made several new friends and learned what having a good self image means! This leadership conference was a blast!!

At the leadership conference I attended, my favorite thing that I learned had to have been learning about social cues that help you to move up in your leadership journey. It was a very fun experience and I’m extremely glad I had the opportunity to attend!
