A special election will be held at the Childress City Council Chambers at City Hall, 315 Commerce Street in downtown Childress, on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

29 propositions are on the ballot, all proposing changes to the current City charter. The last revision to the City charter was in the 1980s.

Polls will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM on Nov. 8, with early voting taking place between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM on weekdays beginning Monday, Oct. 24 through Friday,Nov. 4.
