Among the area varsity high school football games played Friday night, Nov. 4, top scoring teams included Childress, Quanah and Wellington. The Childress Bobcats topped the Friona Chieftons by 45 to 9; the Quanah Indians won over the Wheeler Mustangs 41 to 24; and the Wellington Skyrockets won 44 to 8 over the Clarendon Broncos.

Other area scores include the Harrold Hornets winning over the Chillicothe Eagles 44 to 26; the Vernon Lions winning over the Bowe Jackrabbits 34 to 2; the Shamrock Irish winning over the Memphis Cyclones 55 to 20; and the Benjamin Mustangs winning over the Crowell Wildcats 46 to 0.

In Thursday night games, Valley won over Northside 60 to 12; and the Silverton Owls won over the Hedley owls 60 to 32.
