Official city-wide trick-or-treating will be held in Altus today, Monday, Oct. 31, but several churches and other organizations are offering similar events. They include Spooky Town at the Safety Town location behind Imagination Station starting at 6 PM; Tamarack Church of Christ, 1000 E. Tamarack Road with their Trunk or Treat event offering candy, bounce house, hot dogs and more; the Altus Public Library handing out candy from 4 to 8 PM; a Truck or Treat event at 700 N. Main sponsored by Martha Road Baptist Church and Altus Church of the Nazarene from 5:30 to 7 Pm with candy, popcorn, a bounce house, games and free food; a Trunk or Treat at Grace United Methodist Church at 620 S. Park Lane from 6 to 8 PM or until they run out of candy; Mission on Wheels, 118 1/2 S. Main giving out candy, hot dogs, chips and drinks from 5 to 7 PM; and Emmanuel Baptist’s Fall Fest from 5:30 to 7 PM at 921 E. A Street where they will have fun events for the whole family. Trick-or-Treating on Altus Air Force Base housing will be from 6 to 8 PM.
