For the safety of the public during renovations and construction the Altus City Reservoir and surrounding park space is closed completely to the public. This includes all vehicles and pedestrians.

The Thunder Court and adjacent small park will remain open during daylight hours with entry and parking from the west entrance only.

The Dog Park will be closed Tuesday through Thursday, reopening on Friday, Aug. 26 with new temporary gates located on southwest side. Parking for the dog park is at the community center and temporary parking adjacent to the dog park when complete.

The City of Altus stated, “We regret the inconvenience of not having this park space available, but safety is our highest priority and the ongoing work is very dangerous. Your patience is again appreciated during this major phase of our Reservoir Project. Construction is estimated to continue through Spring of 2023. Updates will be announced as the project progresses.
