The US 287 realignment project in Hall County is moving from Phase 1 to Phase 2 as recently announced by the Childress District of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The traffic swap for the new phase is set to occur on October 27.
At that time, southbound traffic will be rerouted onto the new alignment roadway and bridge. Northbound traffic will remain on the old alignment until November 8. Once both south and northbound traffic has been rerouted onto the new roadway, the northbound bridge and roadway will be demolished as part of Phase 2 of the project.
