Childress

The Bobcats and Lady Cats ran at the Canadian Invitational in Canadian on Saturday, September 18. Kaden Husband won the varsity boys division with a time of 17:40.02 while Clarissa Gamboa and Tesire Sanders placed in the top 10 in the varsity girls and JV girls divisions. The Indians and Lady Indians continued their stellar performances on Monday, September 20 at Copper Breaks State Park. The variety boys gold team and the junior high boys won their divisions, while the varsity girls and varsity boys black team each finished 3rd. Tabor Christanelli won the individual gold for the varsity girls division and Dwight DonJuan won the varsity boys races. 8 other runners finished in the top 10 throughout all the divisions. The Lady Skyrockets dominated the Canadian Invitational on Saturday, September 18 with both the varsity and JV teams taking home first place. The junior high girls took home 3rd place with Scout Lewis placing 2nd and Madilyn Adams finishing 8th. Aiden Piper also brought home a bronze medal as an individual in the varsity girls race. The junior high girls went on to place 2nd as a team and Haygen Lopez placed 2nd as an individual for the junior high boys. Brenna Francis also placed in the top ten for the varsity girls. The Indians and Lady Indians were dominant at Copper Breaks State Park on Monday, September 20. Aubrey Ford finished 2nd in the varsity girls division with a time of 14:12.00 while Cylynn Freeling won the junior high girls division. Kade Marsh also took home 2nd as an individual in the junior high boys race. The Patriots and Lady Patriots competed Saturday, September 18 at Groom. In the varsity boys division, Ean Hartman placed 14th with a time of 22:23.56 and Cash Cruse was right behind him coming in 15th place with a time of 22:32.65. Kenadi Green finished 8th in the junior high girls division with a time of 15:04.12 and Kanyon Taylor finished 10th with a time of 15:33.06 for the junior high boys. Valley will run their next race on Wednesday, September 29 at Spur.

Altus

The Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs competed Friday, September 17 at the LHS/Ike Cross Country Invitational in Lawton in the 5A-6A division. The varsity boys took home 2nd place with Nick Borghini, John Preston and Aiden Chapa finishing in the top 10. Jiselle Julian represented the variety girls and placed 13th. The junior high teams ran well, with the boys placing 3rd and the girls 2nd. Jordyn Huckins took home 2nd place as an individual, followed by Stephanie Hamm in 4th and Lilli Baker in 10th. The Tigers and Lady Tigers traveled to Lawton Friday, September 17 to run in the LHS/Ike Cross Country Invitational A-4A division. The varsity boys took home 2nd place as a team, with all runners finishing in the top 20 and Rowdy Randall winning the division as an individual. The varsity girls also took home 2nd place with all runners finishing in the top 20. Graydon Whorton and Aiden Alejandro finished in the top 15 for the junior high boys. The junior high girls dominated the meet, taking home the team gold and finishing with 10 runners in the top 20. Full team results are below.
