Altus Lions Club donates diabetes emergency kits to schools

Altus Lions delivered approximately 270 “Diabetes/Hypoglycemia Emergency Kits” to 8 different schools to be placed in every classroom and school buses. These ‘kits’ were put together after Altus Lions Club was awarded a generous grant from Southwest Rural Electric (SWRE).

According to the CDC, as a result of the pandemic, they are experiencing a huge increase in Diabetes in children and teens, many undiagnosed until recent issues.
