The regular monthly meeting of the Altus Board of Education will be held Monday, February 13 in the conference room at the Administrative Center, 219 N. Lee, starting at 5 PM.

Under the Superintendent’s Reports and Comments will be the AJH All Region Band and AHS All Region/State Band, College Remediation Rates and an update on Altus Primary School.

Under the Consent Agenda, items include contracts with The Greens of Altus for use of the golf course, a contract with Velocity for use of the indoor batting facility, and a lease agreement with Jackson County Commissioners for Washington Elementary School.

Other agenda items include a revised policy for requirements for graduation, and a policy for high school and junior high honor roll grading scale.

In executive session, the Board will discuss proposed new hires, and after returning to regular session, consider approving those new hires.

The employment of Central Office administrators, directors and managers for the 2023-24 school year is also on the agenda, as is site administrators.

The Board will also consider and take necessary action to select a construction management company to provide the construction management services in connection with the design and construction of a new Pre-K through 4th grade center to replace the existing Rivers Elementary School on Altus Air Force Base.
