The Childress City Council will meet in regular session on Monday, May 8 at 6 PM in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 315 Commerce Street. Council will discuss and consider adoption of an ordinance authorizing the issuance of City of Childress Combination Tax and Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 2023 and ordaining other matters relating to the subject.
Council will also acknowledgement of the high school boys varsity basketball team.
Other agenda items include discussing and possibly acting on awarding engineering firm from RFQ for services, a contract with Childress Anglers and Sportsman’s Club for Baylor Lake lease, and reviewing street plat and street improvements in the NE.
Hotel Occupancy Tax Ordinance as it applies to Airbnb, Vrbo, and other short term rentals will also be discussed and possibly acted on, as well as multiple service connections, GWorks Asset Management and Analytics software, S&P Global Rating and FY ’22 Audit, and a budget amendment before adjourning.
