Wellington High School Senior Summer Owens of the Wellington Lions Club has been named the 2023-24 District 2-T1 Queen. 1st runner up was Maggie Cook with the Memphis Lion’s Club.

Summer received a $1,000 scholarship from the district and Maggie received $500.

Other queen candidates were from Amarillo, Clarendon and Canyon.

Summer now advances to the State Lions Outstanding Youth Contest on May 20 in Ft. Worth.
