Pioneers Shooting Team finishes 4th in the Nation

ALTUS, OK – Western Oklahoma State College’s Shooting team recently traveled to Las Vegas to compete in the National Collegiate Shooting Sports Athletic Association National Championship.
Not only did the Pioneers finish 4th in the Nation, but they also came back to Oklahoma with many honors and accomplishments both as a team and as individual competitors.
Western placed 3rd in Trap as a team.
Hunter Pence was All-American Honorable Mention.
Blakey Barnett was the Women’s Runner-up Champion in Trap
(after a 3-way tie for first with a 99/100)
Shay Skaggs: 3rd in Women’s Sporting Clays.
In women’s skeet:
Blakey Barnett: 5th
Aubrey Steward: 6th
Shay Skaggs: 7th.
Men’s Skeet:
Hunter Pence: tied for 5th
Byron Ford: tied for 8th
Tucker Colby: tied for 10th.
The team ended 5th.
